20260704 - NC Courage vs. Seattle Reign

Last Saturday, the Courage returned to action following the midseason break, hosting the Seattle Reign. Riding a pre-break three match winning streak, the Courage showed no sign that either the weather (it was a bit warm) or the five-week recess would challenge their form, topping the Reign 3-1.  Ashley Sanchez notched a brace, opening and closing the Courage’s scoring and keeping her in the running for the Golden Boot award (9 goals in 12 matches, trailing only Orlando’s Barbara Banda 11 goals), and Reily Jackson bent the net with her first goal of the season and the game winner as she converted a PK in the 64th minute.
